Not surprisingly in this beautiful-looking weather, I am collecting quite a bit of wood ash. What plants will enjoy it... and why?
Wood ash is noted for its potash content (the 'K' part of the NPK value of fertilisers) which will benefit roots and fruits. So spread it over areas of garden where you have bulbs planted and around fruit trees. Go lightly though, nothing likes too much.
