This is known as Clianthus puniceus. It's only just frost hardy here in UK. Maybe someone else knows the ideal temp for it.

Certainly not Boston Massachusetts outdoors which you probably know already :-)

It is classed as no lower than Zone 9a but better higher. Gulf of Mexico, Southern California and Florida.

I wonder if gardeners have recommended zones!!
