Another container question, this time I need a climber, evergreen, to live in a container in full sunlight. In the local garden centre I have seen Euonymus microphyllus or Hebe, your thoughts please?. Thanks

The two plants you've seen aren't climbers. As a rule, climbers require a cool root run, and growing in containers often results in poor performance after a few years. However, there are some which, with some care, will survive, even thrive, in a deep pot. Firstly try to find some of the herbaceous clematis, or some of the Raymond Evison cultivars which aren't too vigorous, or perhaps try the evergreen trachelospermum jasminoides which produces scented flowers in mid to late summer. Find some thin rocks to place over the roots, to keep
them cool.

Why not try passion fruit or kiwi? You have the temperatures for them to grow outside, and I've seen the passion fruit in containers.
