as I'm famous for transplanting too early thought I needed to just ask about these cornflowers...shall I put them in seed trays spread out or little pots..or leave them a bit longer?

Hi Kate, I think these have been sown a little too thickly, so although they wouldn't normally be ready for pricking out at this stage, I think I would do it now to try and prevent them from getting any more "leggy" than they are already, and bury some of the stem when you do, just not too much, Derek.

I did wonder about suggesting 2 proper leaves before transplanting. this would work also.

The seeds are certainly sown very thickly a way round that Kate is to mix the seed with some sharp sand or something similar and sprinkle the mix over the seed pan.

wait until there are at least 4 true leaves before you transplant them into either smallish pot s or large modules. Then select 2/3 seedlings at a time into pots. youncan go singles but they are a very slim plant.
