Please help me ID this poor plant!

I have this house plant which used to have a big purple flower on top. Now it looks unwell. It is more like a tree and stands about 5ft5inch high. Please help me ID it so I can look after it properly!

Looks like an aeonium. These are succulents and need sun and do not like being overwatered (they store water in the leaves as insurance against drought in the wild). They also get tall and leggy after a while. Any side crowns can be detached and placed in well-drained compost and should root quite readily to give a new plant
