what plants can i plant in pots, that wont get much sun,but will get plenty of light,something preferably that flowers.

Are you talking annuals? If so begonias are happy in part shade, particularly the little fibrous rooted semperflorens. Fuchsias would probably do OK too. (Not strictly annuals but normally grown as them in the UK - and even hardy fuchsias would be best protected in an Inverness winter)
