ive read they are hardy to as low -5, but i would wrap with some fleece to help protect it in winter,

None of the feather palms are really what you could consider as hardy and this is probably the hardiest! A couple of fan palms such as Trachycarpus or Chaemerops are hardier. This doesn't really answer your question I know but the best you can do as said is protect well in winter. The weather over the last few weeks would kill it otherwise and this protection is still not guaranteed of course.
