Tidy them up as Sbg says then I would repot them in fresh compost. They will look much better then.

Mine look like that even though they been in a cold frame as I only had them in the autumn, but a quick tidy and they look much better, even a few early flower buds.
Agree about the wind, washing hanging by one peg!

Maybe you could dig them up,and have a good look round the roots for Vine Weevils, and in the soil....there have been one or two posts on this subject in the past week,kidsgran..
it seems they like Heucheras in pots..sorry,but thought it might help..

Hi Kidsgran, I have 2 heuchera's in the ground, they look like that every year, and every year I decide to dump them, then I trim them up, and decide to give them just 1 more year, and I'm not even a lover of them, Derek.

Hi, likewise, I have several Heucheras which look dead each Spring, but with a bit of TLC, trimming and feeding, they come on again very well.

Thank you all , Bloomer I read those posts I will have a look if there any veevils but I hate picking off crawlies so will have to have my grandson around he just loves that kind of thing .

Lol,Kidsgran..if your grandson doesn't do it for you,I would just tip the pots out,and the birds will eat them..and wash the soil off the roots, before repotting..then again,I wouldn't want to deprive him of his pleasure :o)

take the old dead leaves off and give them a feed. the small leaves in the centre will grow away well. they are well worth saving.
