I have a Dipladenia Mandevilla in a container in the conservatory. It is growing around a support. However it has grown vigorously and is now top heavy to the point of falling over. I have read that I am not supposed to cut it back, is this correct? Or can I give it a good prune without causing it any harm? If I can when do you recommend I do it? It flowers in the summer. Any tips would be helpful. Thankyou.

If you look at the RHS advice on growing Mandevillas, they are very comprehensive on pruning. Just type 'Mandevilla pruning' into google, and look for the RHS entry.
