Hi folks, I want to get some shrubs and herbaceous perennials, but can't get to a nursery at the moment, I have spent the afternoon looking in the garden centre pages on g o y, my problem is, I had a bad experience with t&m, so has anyone used the other suppliers on here, and can you tell me which one you consider to be the best, and are their plants a decent quality ?, Derek

Hi Derek I have been using Crocus Plants online for some time now .

Excellent Quality.

And good service.

I will also go for Crocus - large and well packaged and 20% off via gardenersworld then offers.

Wow Kath, that was quick!!, you must have been typing as soon as I posted, thanks very much for the info, I don't want to be disappointed again, as I was with t&m, I can look with a bit more confidence now, cheers Derek.

Thanks for the confirmation Kildermorie, you were quick off the mark also, how do you claim the 20% off, I don't do gardeners world? Derek.

I can also vouch for Crocus. The plants are well packaged and they inform you (quite accurately how long it will take to despatch) and the plants are in very good condition. I've never had any problems with them and I've been using them for around 5 years now.

And if you use quidco you will cash back and the 20%discount voucher that is on with gardenersworld just now.

Thanks Lijemc, sounds like crocus is the 1 to go for, I don't like not seeing what I'm buying, but all the info seems encouraging, Kath, what is quidco?, and is that gardeners world online?, not used to getting discounts, I stupidly just pay the price asked, lol, Derek.

I'd hang back until I could go and see the plants/shrubs and buy them having seen - but that is just me :-)

MG No problems with Crocus Plants excellent quality.

And if you are like me I have to travel a distance to get good quality plants.

And its not all GC that has that special plant.

I just like to see what I am buying...

Hi Mg, that is what I would normally do, but it could be a while before I'm able to get to the nursery I usually go to, it's not transport that's the problem, but my wife's illness, so I really have no choice but to buy online, and the responses I have had about crocus seem very encouraging, even though I will probably have to pay more for them than what I would normally pay, but thanks for the reply anyway, Derek.

Hi Derek, sorry to hear your wife is unwell... good luck with your on-line ordering, at least Crocus does appear to be reputable.

Thank you Mg, for your concern, fortunately it's not serious, just debilitating.
Thanks Kildermorie for the information, just ordered;
2x kolkwitzia amabilis "pink cloud, 2x philadelphus "virginal", 3x ligularia "the rocket", 3x geranium oxonianum "wargrave pink", and 3x geranium psilostemon, so the discount saved me quite a bit of money, Derek

Just letting you know that my order has now been delivered, less than 48 hours from ordering them, and I am very satisfied with them, 1000 % better than another supplier who shall remain nameless, so thank you very much for the recommendations, Derek.
