Is it too late to prune honeysuckle? Thankyou

Answers

its never too late to prune honeysuckle! Ideally now as it is coming into leaf but ours gets hacked back when the hedges they are growing through gets their hack back.

Here in the hedge rows as i walk the dogs down the tracks everyday i see honeysuckle growing 15 feet and more up the oak trees, they're never pruned and on those summer early evenings the smell is just lovely,

Now ive H/suckle growing on trellis metal round frames in my own garden and i do prune these after the summer flowering is over and the reason is due to wind causing damage to the hanging stems getting damaged.

This morning i noticed the honeysuckle growing up and around these trellis frames are showing signs of good growth,
so i'd say clip off any dead and clip the top leader stem to help the plant to bush out and give more flowers.

Thank you. They put on a lot of new growth earlier on but the frost got them so they look straggly and lank. Do you think cutting them back as far as 1 ft above the ground will be ok?

yes cut them down as far as you like.
