can i plant allium bulbs in january

Answers

No - too early, especially as the ground has been so cold and wet. Hang on until things warm up a bit - early March? - and plant them deeply on a handful of horticultural grit.

I agree but having said that some of mine are already poking their noses through even though they are buried deeply.
