Damson problem?
While pruning i noticed two small lumps of solidified resin. Is this OK or could it be the dreaded canker starting? I won't be around after tomorrow until the weekend so if I don't come back straight away be assured I will asap!

Hi Sue, it sounds to me as though it has been damaged at some point, and has put out the resin to heal the damage, I wouldn't worry about it just yet, see how it goes, Derek.
