Help with flower identification, please. I know this is quite common but I can't for the life of me think what it's name is! My partner brought it back from a friend's garden but we're not sure where to put it either. Sun-lover or shade lover? We think it spreads quite quickly. The leaves and stem are smooth and fleshy.

This (Cerinthe) is one of those plants that I would glady give room for, but I have never seen it for sale. I know it is for sale widely but for some reason whenever I pass, they seem to be out of stock!
I like plants that stay elusive, it saves on the wallet and provides a good reason to 'just have a look in here - cue any passing garden-centre/nursery/'vague horticultural reference' sign.
Full sun, sheltered position says the RHS.

Oh, I don't believe it! I took the picture, sent it to my computer at home and at work. My ex-gardener colleague emails with a work-related question and adds 'btw, nice pic of Cerinthe major "Purpurascens".'
