I have just read, so don't know if it's true, that spraying powdery mildew with milk, at least 10% (no upper limit given) mixed with water stops it in its tracks. It can't hurt, so I would give it a try:-)

the milk spray recipe is 1 part milk to 9 parts water, and it doesn't matter whether its full fat milk, skimmed, or anything in between. But if these white patches are not in the form of powdery deposits on the leaf, but within the leaf tissue, that's more likely to be overly cold temperatures.

Once, on a shrub, seemed to work, or else it was coincidence!

Fantastic, I wonder why more people don't know? It's cheap, everyone has it at home, harmless to food crops and others ...... the big chemical companies don't make it .....ah .... have I hit on the reason lol:-))
