Growing potatoes in seaweed
Anyone tried this method-hope link works. I've added seaweed to the soil for quite a while but never realised that spuds could be grown in a pot directly in seaweed with no compost. I live in a seaside town (Porthcawl, south wales, so getting weed (both types, lol) is not a problem!

Previous question
In times gone bye, the crofters used to grow potatoes on very poor soil nurished by copious amounts of seaweed. I have never used seaweed as it would mean a drive of, say, 20 miles to a location where it is heavily deposited at the side of, and across, the road!
Give it a try next year, Sr, and report back on your findings.
