Since I planted my Runner beans out in the garden about one week ago, I have found that each morning one of them has been neatly bitten off about 4 inches high up the stem. No part of it seems to have been eaten. Any advice as to what could be the cause would be appreciated. I am sorry I have found it impossible to upload a photo. Everytime I try the computer refuses to do anything and eventually wipes off my question and go's back to square one.

Answers

a) Runner beans bitten off: Might be birds.
b) Problem with photo uploading: Might be the wrong format or the big size of the photos.

Thanks I think you are right on both counts, I will have another go with the beans and will protect them with netting this time.

I am also reducing the size of my photos to 5 megapixels or less. Thank you again
