Hi. can anyone identify this tree for me please. It has spikes and blossoms pink in early summer?
Hi many thanks for replies. I thought Hawthorn. Husband says blossom is white not pink. Photo of leaves close up now included.

it could be a blackthorn, but not 100% sure because the blossom is usually white. hawthorn has different shaped leaves.

Also blackthorn flowers very much earlier. Can you put on a photo of the leaves?

Possibly a hawthorn, crataegus x persimilis 'Prunifolia', a very pretty hybrid thorn with clusters of quite big, hawthorn like fruits. Colours up prettily in autumn, too. A close-up/clear photo would help confirm/deny

Those aren't hawthorn leaves.
