planted sweet William last year they survived the winter but this is the flower on them this year I thought they had gone to seed but getting on a plant site they look like a new strain called green trick any answers?

Sweet Williams are biennials so the ones you planted last year will flower this year.

You say "this is the flower" but there isn't a pic. If you are familiar with sweet williams you will know what the flower buds look like - at first sight not too unlike Green Trick. By now you might well have discovered which they are!
