My first Trachelospurmum!

I bought my first Trachelospurmum yesterday and intend to allow it to grow up a trellis. I have attached some fine plastic mesh to the back of the trellis because the trellis hides a walkway which is rather draughty. The plant is in the pot it came in which I intend to change for a bigger container. The site faces SW. My question is, what size pot should I chose and are the conditions of the site suitable for the plant? Also any hints on planting soil?

However, in a container they need to be well looked after, as, like all climbers, they want a cool root run, and will not want to dry out. A deep pot will be ideal. If your plant was in a 3 litre deep pot when you bought it, then potting it up in something about 20 litres for the next couple of years, thereafter, something much bigger!

To be honest, they seem to thrive on any soil. Mine's on chalky loam in full sun and i have to cut it back twice a year !!!!!
