Hi, this climbing plant is covering my viburnum and I have no idea what it is. Deciduous, stems spiralling round viburnum stems, woody older growth with quick growing softer new growth. If anyone can tell me what it is I would be very grateful, especially if you can advise me on how to look after it. I suspect it will need a lot of pruning if it stays!

Fallopia (Polygonum) baldshuanica(um), Russian vine. Lightning quick. Remove it, or, if you must like it, cut it hard regularly to save the viburnum

Hi Celandine75, welcome to G O Y, what you describe sounds like bindweed, but the leaves on the photo's look a bit too fleshy for that, but whatever it is, I would get rid of it, or it will choke out your shrub, Derek.
