I have purchased a Tropaeolum Brachycereus, a chilean nasturtian tuber. Does anybody know what are the planting and growing details as I ordered a Tropaeolum speciosum (flame flower) but the wrong plant has arrived. I will give it a go in containers. the tuber is slightly bigger tha a golf ball.

How do you construct a soil bund and what could you grow on it? »
it is a half hardy plant so it needs to be protected from frost next year. It prefers neutral to slightly acid soil. full sun, but not too dry and as it is a climber it will need support too. It is a lovely yellow flower.
if it is not what you ordered then why not get in touch with the plant company and ask if they will swap it for the one you ordered. If they can then ask if they will refund the postage when you send the other back. sometimes they let you keep the 'wrong' plants. [well it has happened to me on a couple of occasions and i was very polite to them , unlike me on occasions!]
welcome to GoY as well.
