I have an established Yew tree. I would like to heavily prune it to restrict it's footprint. If I do this will it re-shoot and look green again?
Thank you in anticipation

Ideal time for a hard prune is February. Otherwise trim it 'til then

I saw a very old yew that was cut right down and grew again, and it was then clipped as an attractive bush.
