Masonry paint was applied to the top of the wall in our block of flats. It rained and watery paint stains covered our garden. Have managed to remove from pots and floor but several palms are still badly stained - is there any way of cleaning them? Many thanks

I should get the contractors to come back and paint the leaves with a green masonry paint!
At least masonry paint is an emulsion and not at all toxic to plants, if that's what they used.

You could try gently washing the leaves with a mild soapy water. Don't rub hard though as you may damage the leaf surface. Unfortunately you may have to wait for the damage to 'grow out'. I hope that you complained to the contractors!
