it looks like a young goldfinch, they don't have red on their face when young, it looks like it has gold and black on the wings, if so it,s a goldfinch,

Hi Taz he does look like hes got gold and black on his tail on this photo and it does look like a goldfinch thankyou, I just seem to remember he looked quite a large bird but it is difficult when its in a split second and you try to grab the camera, how big do they grow :)
