I recently bought a plant at a plant sale. It has a handwritten label saying it is "verbena bowdriensco". I can't find any reference to this plant. Can you help?
Thank you

Thanks. It certainly looks like a bonariensis, with the same square section stem. The leaves are larger and broader than my other bonariensises (??) and it seems generally to be a bit "chunkier". It's not in flower yet so I will have to wait and see.

I've got the plants from 3 different suppliers, and all three are different, plant size, health(!), flower colour and size, and leaf shape, believe it or not. So much for quality and consistency on the market

Love the comments :-). Good job we're not rated for quality and consistency!

I bet that's a poorly written 'bonariensis'. Small purple flowers in neat clusters atop tall rough stems which are square in cross section?
