Our 4 year old wisteria bought as a mature but non flowering plant has never flowered despite being pruned properly, watered and fed. It is in a partially shaded enclosed bed living with a fatsia which is kept in check. Could the fatsia be the reason the wisteria.

More likely it's still growing towards maturity. Could take another two or three years, but bear with it. The best wisteria take their time, making good root growth, and a strong ultimately prolific top

Are you pruning it at the wrong time resulting in the flower buds being cut off?
