Hi all, My lupins had a serious case of aphid infestation earlier in the summer, and now although still alive, they are looking very sad. I sprayed them at the time but now they are growing very tiny leaves and no flowers. Should I dig them out and dicard, or will they recover. Any ideas would be gratefully received. Thanks

I'd be tempted to cut most of the foliage off and then give it a good feed and plenty of water. They will recover. Some of mine got hit badly 6 yrs ago and they were fine for 3 more years before they died. they are relatively short lived plants.

Are the aphids still alive and eating your lupins ?
What did you spray on them ?
I am not sure, but they may also need a light fertilizer to help them recover.
Imidaclporid is a great systemic insecticide to control those aphids but will hurt honey bees too.
You can use it as a soil drench or spray it...
Thanks
