What are you looking forward to this season?
For me, I'm looking forward to my Bluebell Creeper (Sollya heterophylla) flowering again after it was almost taken out by red spider mite last year.
Plus I think that maybe I've found the Datura that I've been looking for. My brugmansia will hopefully finally bloom too.
I've got my Japanese Roof Iris to look forward to hopefully, & with any luck the Lobelia Queen Victorias will have survived this winter.
My Clerodendrum is already setting flowers in the conservatory, & maybe my Strelitzia will finally flower!

I agree, Sbg! Also - I revamped one of the borders last year - I'm looking forward to seeing if I've got it right - I suspect it will still need some 'shuffling'!

Apart from a 10 rise in temperature it has to be the emerging of all the spring bulbs and starting to see the perennials sprout new growth ..... i love it :-))

Me too Sbg...Im also waiting to see what has survived the harsh winter....I have so many dahlias left in the ground and plenty to take their place if they havent survived....Im also looking forward to the Commelinas i have for the first time...oh yes...WARM weather....:>)

I left my Dahlias in as well, Motinot - in a 'normal' winter down here, that's fine - not at all sure about this year, though. I have bought some tubers to start off in the greenhouse soon. I'd miss 'Donald Ward' - he was lovely!

I was talking to a customer at work and he said he had checked his Daliah's in the shed and they hadn't survived, which reminded me to check mine in a cupboard in the bedroom, I was expecting them to be Mush (too warm)but they looked Great, Lovely and firm, and the Bergonia's too, YaY,
Im looking forward to the new Plants ive ordered that ive never tried before, and to revamp a couple of more borders..

Looking forward to all the spring bulbs really getting going. They are very slow this year, due to the cold weather. The early Camellia is struggling with the frost. It blooms its flowers, then gets browned off by the intermiittent frosts. In a milder winter by now it would be in full bloom

I'm looking forward to 26th April - the day AFTER the garden is open - when I have the rest of the year to relax(?) and enjoy it

You are opening early this year, aren't you. Do you think plants in your garden are behind in comparison with previous years?

Yes we are open early. As you know, I open jointly with another one which is a good early spring one so we often have an early date. So far, the early stuff is about a month behind but if we get a warmer spell, I'm sure some of it will catch up. A cold spring leads to some 'interesting' combinations - last May I had apple blossom, wisteria and bearded iris all flowering at the same time!
