Can anyone tell me anything on why 'Bernard's Daffodil' and 'Boutigny's Daffodil' are so named ? Its the first name I want to know about, not 'Daffodil'

Bernard's Daffodil seems to be so named as a Fund raising thing for the eponymous town of that name.
The second one maybe named after a breeder of Narcissus from the 19th century.
Or possibly having been found growing in Boutigny in France. Seems to be a very old variety.
