My sweet pea blooms started off OK, but now the stems are very short - only 2 or 3 inches long. I have watered them a lot, is this where I am going wrong?

It will be the variety and where and how you are growing them, not lack of water, that is the problem.

I find the first flowers have the longest stems and they always get shorter as the plants start to age.
