What's the 'weed' which looks like Rose bay willow Herb called? It has smaller flowers with a white x shaped stamen.

It's theEpilobium hirsutum.
Great Hairy Willowherb.
A little more careful Googling came up with it.

Epilobium hirsutum is great willow herb. hairy willow herb is E parviflorum. The cross shaped structure is the stigma. They are lovely plants and take me back to my child hood but they do spread so if its in the garden keep an eye on it.

It could well be a smaller species of willowherb. There are several. Perhaps broad-leaved willowherb which is very common as a garden 'weed'. Grows up to about 2ft
