Why does my very healthy Catalpa never have any flowers since planting it several years ago.

Hi, do you know which species you have?, Catalpa bignonioides, nana, is more of a shrub, and rarely flowers.
They should be grown in fertile, moist but well drained soil, in full sun.
They are hardy, but unripened wood and young plants are prone to frost damage, they should be protected from cold winds.
Have you pruned the plant? and if so when?, Derek.

Hi, it could be that it's just too young yet, at 8ft it still has a way to go, they eventually reach about 30ft, I don't think I would bother to prune it, but if you do, it's pruning group 1, Derek.

Do you prune it in the winter? The flower buds form the previous fall.
