Hello.
I have received a small sago palm tree as a gift from a Spanish friend, and now want to plant it. What is the best compost to use? Will it be happy outside while its still summer, or should I keep it inside. Also the ends of leaves are a bit yellow, why is it?
Thank you

Cycas revolute - v slow growing, wants lots of sun, without totally drying out. Friend of mine has a few large ones in her garden in Portugal. They are very poisonous to animals, especially cats who apparently like to chew them. DON'T LET THEM!
I would use a JI No.1, plus a little extra grit. Outside is fine this weather, but protect from too much cold in winter. They are tough.
