why do I not have any flowers on my Day Lilies or Crocosmia, the plants look healthy enough but they have been neglected for the last seven years, advice please?

I am no expert but I would have thought they are both long overdue for lifting and splitting up into smaller plants and re-planting back into enriched soil. I don't think either need very rich soil but a little compost and TLC should see them back flowering again.
