All my border perennials have shot up this year. Some which should be 3-4ft are over 5ft. Consequently theyre falling over. I tried to keep them under control but I've just returned from a fortnights holiday & everything has gone mad. Dont know where to begin, anyone else in the same boat?

As they go past their best, look at some with a view to cutting them back for a second/late flush of flower, thereby controlling them at the same time?

yep same here. the rain helped with the extra height. I have gone round staking plants that don't normally get it.
I was away for 3 days and the bind weed took over the gate. [there is a photo to prove it!]
