how do I know when a golden cucumber : Grows on You

how do I know when a golden cucumber, or lemon cucumber, is ripe and ready to eat?

I assume it is green when unripe so I suspect it will be evenly yellow when ripe! is there an image of the cucumbers on the seed pack?
