If you trim them back after the flowers have finished, they will grow again and be reasonably good. Dead easy to collect the seeds too.

I was given a small cutting from one, last year, and although it has made lots of healthy green foliage,it has only had one flower ...I wonder why? Sorry to hijack your question,Pammie..

They are often sold as biennial, Plant this year to grow next like wallflowers, .hopefully yours will flower next year Bloomer.
I,m never sure if mine just reseed themselves and keep coming!

You could get a packet of seed now and sow direct in the ground or pot , you would get lots of flowers then, but maybe.....maybe not next year

Hi Pammie, they are officially a short lived perennial, and do come back, but unfortunately they deteriorate year on year, and are usually grown as a biennial, Derek.
