I have a hosta which I planted 2 years ago it gets bigger each year it is now 1ft by 1ft approx. but it never flowers any ideas??!!

Its obviouusly grown very well and quickly - perhaps you have been overfeeding it. If so try leaving off the fertilizer next year. If some plants are too well fed they make leaves at the expense of flowers as they feel no need to flower and set seed to make sure of perpetuating the stock. I have two in pots and have never fed them and they do flower. But this year I repotted in fresh compost and so far no flowers.

you might be right there I do feed the garden at least once a week through a sprinkler system with concentrated plant food so I will try water only for the rest of the season and next thanks for your imput

That one has me stumped . I've never known a hosta not to flower
