Why do all the flower heads of my sweet peas drop off a day or two after they have been picked and pot into a vase? Also this year there seems no smell to the flowers unlike previous years? Thanks Jacquie Moore

Re the Sweetpea not smelling, are you using self-seeded varieties or named ones? Not all Sweetpea flower varieties are fragrant.
