The Harebell....Campanula Rotundifolia.
I love these delicate blue bells - seen so
often on chalk hills in the wild. I have seen
packets of seed for sale and wondered if
any of you have had experience of growing
these flowers for uour own garden.
I thought of sowing the seed in pots in the greenhouse.
Any ideas?

I don't think that soil pH is a problem as they grow on the acidic Cairngorms amongst other places. Just a well drained soil and sunny position.

And be careful, if suited they can take over huge areas.

« A simple enough question but I've been trying to grow carrots for the last...
If you can give them a suitable soil I don't see why not. somebody on here a few weeks ago showed a photo of a clump in his garden. Google Campanula rotundifolia proagation and you'll see several sites giving advice.
