Can you ever add too much home made compost to your vegetable patch? My flower garden is very large compared to the vegetable area and I generate several cubic meters of good compost each year, much of which I put on my veg patch. I use plenty on my flower beds, leaving those alone that don't like a rich soil, and use the rest in my baskets. I still have plenty spare. Should I keep adding to the veg?

That's an ambiguous answer Derek. I am still none the wiser.

No you can't add to much compost to your vegetable garden so yes keep adding all the compost you make. We don't put ours on the flower beds as it does not get hot enough to kill off all the weed seeds which is not a problem in the veggie patch as we simply hoe them off.
