I have roses in pots and they are looking dreadful, can I re-pot them using the same tubs?

Hi, as Steragram says, you can, but they will never be at their best grown in pots, they really need to be in the ground where they can put their roots down, and if you have clay soil, so much the better, Derek.

Roses grown in pots can work but they need constant feeding and constant watering in the growing season. I find my three David Austin roses work well in pots but I do cut them right back in early August and within a month new growth and flowering again well. Good luck.

I've been growing roses for years ,and I think they belong in the ground.

I was in Provence in May and in the "perched villages" there the roses were magnificent in pots. I will post a pic of them

Yes but use new compost. You can scrub the old pots out before refilling if you want to be on the safe side.
