What summer veggies are good for window boxes or hanging baskets, apart from tomatoes for the hanging baskets

Lettuce, radish, beetroot all have shallow root systems and will give you a lot of colour. Carrots can be grown in 10 inches of soil. You can get dwarf varieties of all the beans which have lovely flowers, peas can be grown in box's. The sky is your limit really. Go to your library and find a book on container growing or small garden growing!

I've just had a Thompson and Morgan catalogue through the post. There are several varieties of veg and fruit in there that are ideal for container growing. Might be worth a look in other seed catalogues too. I hope you get a good crop!
