I have a large (6 ft tall) well established erica in my garden. It has suffered significant damage during the recent cold weather, and has a number of branches that are completely brown, but others that have damage on the lower part of the stem only. What should I do to try to restore it?

This is a tree heather? I've no experience of this plant, but I think it's safe to say that you should remove the damaged parts back to a healthy branch or bud. I think at 6ft this one must be pretty old. I have had much success in the past growing heathers from cuttings, so you might like to try that with a view to planting babies to replace your old plant in time.
