while visiting hampton court i noticed a grass i would like to purchase the centre has a stem which comes up a couple of feet and the head of the stem is very tassley.
the bottom leaves stretch out far and give a misty appearance any ideas ?

It could possibly be something like Deschampsia Cespitosa.....but as Bamboo says above, it could possibly be any of a number of grasses!

Oh dear - that could describe any number of grass like plants, from a miniature pampas grass to a number of other ones. The tasselly part was just the flowering stem.
