I have a Camelia bush which for the past few weeks is attracting every day some wasps, they appear to be feeding on the leaves? Had this lovely plant for about 9 years in a large pot, flowers every spring and has been regularly pruned.
As far I can remember this has never this has never happened before, plant is on a south facing wall with an easterly aspect.
Would add a photo but am not that keen on getting that close!!

Your plant is maybe got whitefly wasp love them

Many thanks, can't see any whitefly,leaves are green and healthy. But may give it a spray anyway.

Wasps won't live much longer anyway as they die in autumn.

Have been out with a magnifying glass, no bumps but discovered some leaves with some of scales on both the back and front of the leaves wasps are still feeding on something but not on these leaves. Scales are a yellowish beige colour.
Many thanks,its clear that the bush is being attacked by something.

I have now posted a picture of a leaf. Many thanks for your help in identifying why my plant is attracting the wasps! Will now 'get spraying'.
