My bell peppers are now red but are very small. I have some yellow ones which are much bigger - even to the size of supermarket ones! They are all grown in the same greenhouse along with chilly peppers.

or if you have a lot of peppers on the plant they will be smaller as more fruits mean smaller ones.

Do you remember the variety? There is a miniature red capsicum 'Miniature Red Bell', perhaps that's what you've got.
