Has it finished flowering? And is it living outside now?
If it is used to outside then you can plant it when you like now, if its in full flower then you could wait until they start to go over but don't cut them off as they protect next years new shoots from the frost.
Be sure to keep it well watered for a start but do not feed until next spring
