I have recently layed turf and in last few days it gas become infestatef with small mushrooms, is this a had thing and is there something wrong with the turf

No, there's nothing wrong with the turf, although it's obviously full of fungi mycelium (sort of roots). The mushrooms you see are just the fruiting bodies of those mycelium, and should pass within a couple of weeks or less. You can twist them off at the base if you don't like the look of them, but they'll probably be back next year. Hopefully, they're not honey coloured toadstools...?
